Greetings Campers

Many many moons ago (probably more than 600 moons ago, but then this tale is not one of Chronos time of dates and details, it’s a tale of Kairos time), a group of inspired and creative people gathered in a field and created a camp that their intuition told them they needed for themselves and they wanted for their families and loved ones.

The magic of Kairos time, they say, is that we can accomplish our goals, meet our responsibilities and stay open to being steered by Life in ways that we may not have anticipated. It keeps us discerning enough to read our environment and to adapt accordingly.

And PTA and later SAC did stay open to being steered by Life and it still does.

The picture below is the latest group of beloveds who have taken on the role of “The holding group“. A group who’s first job is to listen, to you, to the wisdom of those who have gone before, to each other and to their own inner guidance. Their job is to hold the camp in their love and compassion and create a container where all voices can be heard with love and respect. They are Maia, Rich, Rowan, Darvesha, Alex and Deborah.

We dreamed our vision of what to focus on in next year’s camp and unanimously came up with some ideas.

There will be the familiar stuff that forms the bedrock of camp plus we felt the need for plenty of light hearted, joyful, fun to help us through challenging times.

There will be opportunities for community members to develop leadership skills, we will explain more about the specifics in coming newsletters, there will be opportunities to share skills and talents that you already possess. Now more than ever we need the engagement of the whole community to enable Sacred Arts to thrive and be a place of relaxation, replenishment and inspiration.

We are excited and looking forward to being with you in that magical field in May and we leave you with the words of Chelan Harkin:
“The specific flavour of truth tonic kept hidden in the apothecary of your heart is exactly the medicine this world needs. It is time to bring it forth. You, my dear, are good medicine, and the truths within you have been prescribed for this time.”

With love

Darvesha, Camp advisor.

Feedback from 2025 camp

Heartfelt thanks for everyone who offered feedback for SAC.2025.
It's so heartening to receive such a quantity of positive comments from the community each year.

Below is the feedback we received for each area:

Cafe

• You would like a clock in the cafe.
We love this idea as it will allow people to get to workshops and karma yoga shifts without having to wear a watch or carry a phone.
• You would like to see fruit-sweetened energy balls in the cake cabinet more often.
Keep an eye on the cake cabinet at Sacred Arts Camp 2026 for new and exciting offerings.
• You would like more live music in the cafe.
Yes! Let's make it happen. Musicians are always welcome, reminders and encouragement will be made at the morning gatherings.
• In 2026 we will also see the return of the 'Open (no) Mic' night which was so popular at the camp in 2024.

Creativity

• This is an area that struggled this year to attract people to share holding this space.
It’s such a blessing that community members bring such a beautiful range of skills and offerings to camp, and we need to support that.

How can we as a community help find and source people willing to bring more love and care to this area?
Maybe talk to your camp friends, and see whether you’d enjoy a shared co-ordinating role.
We have a wealth of guidance and support from previous facilitators so please talk to us with ideas of how we can support you in sharing this lovely role
• Table Tennis bats and Balls - it’s definitely time to buy a new crop

Fringe (including Sharing Groups)

• We aim to give clearer initial explanation on what Fringe/Sharing groups are, and guidance on how to hold them.
• We’re also looking to give more announcements and clarity about what can be ‘Fringe’ events next year, and to make it easier for people to step up and offer workshops etc.
• More info will come in later Newsletters

Lodges

• We will ensure that more clarity and guidance is given around suitability for all ages in sharing circles at 2pm While some may be age sensitive, others will be open to all; nourishing our whole community with the blessing of multi-generational sharing and wisdom.

General

• Everyone preferred Carpet World to be Carpet-Less - less itching, snuffling and tripping!
So...the door is open for suggestions of a name for Site crew to paint on it’s new Board..
You don’t even have to send a post-card.... (apologies for an age-biased quip)
• And Hoorah, we’ve already got more coat hooks ready for the showers next year.

Tickets will be on sale soon

We're aiming to get tickets on sale early December.

We're also looking to enable the purchae of gift vouchers so you give the gift of camp to your loved ones.

We'll send out another newsletter when these go live
